Each month we receive claim data from BCBS on the 15th of the month for all claims they processed in prior months. That allows us to detect when you reach your original deductible max that was in place last year. At that point, your Secondary Employer HRA kicks in. You still have the same final benefit as last year, but it comes from two sources:
1. BCBS and
2. Your Employer HRA
To help you keep track we created color coded thermometers for you family to track per person the amount of deductible each has accumulated. Gray means deductible remaining. Green means deductible partially satisfied. Red means MAX DEDUCTIBLE REACHED. Your HRA activates when any of your family members Thermometer turns RED. If that happens, we will send you an EMPLOYER HRA ACCOUNTING REPORT that tracks any reimbursements you have triggered. Remember, nothing will happen until your full thermometer turns RED.
Below the thermometer is the actual claims we have received from BCBS for your family. If your claim is not showing yet, do not worry-it will show up in the next batch.
